From the folks who brought us Field Day and Underage comes a new festival brainchild, ‘The Apple Cart’. On Sunday 7 August, a leafy area of Vicky Park hosts a festival catering to kids and adults alike. Naturally, this laid back and cosy affair won’t exactly be London’s version of Wacken (Herman heavy metal festival) – under 14s even go free (£25 for everyone else). There’ll be music from Badly Drawn Boy, Saint Etienne (above), Soul II Soul and more, alongside comedians, cabaret acts, magicians, interactive art (fancy playing Boules in a China shop?) and children’s workshops. Hangover-free fun for all ages!
