With its thousands of extinct animal specimens, London’s Natural History Museum (below) is the ideal setting for this year’s International Green Awards. The organisers of the ceremony, taking place on November 24, are currently seeking nominations from across the globe, for organisations and businesses that you think have made a difference in 2011 by creatively promoting sustainability. Last year’s entrants were as diverse as Morrisons supermarkets, Brent Council and Sir David Attenborough (above, who was there to accept a Lifetime Achievement accolade). The competition – judged by a panel of green luminaries including Arianna Huffington, co-founder of the news website The Huffington Post – is open to organisations of any size, and the deadline for nominations is September 1.
