Today saw the big reveal of of the London 2012 Olympic torch relay route. It all begins on May 19 2012 at Land’s End before arriving at the Olympic Stadium 70 days later just in time for the opening ceremony. According to the official London 2012 website, the route is all within 10 miles of 95% of people in the UK, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey and will travel by balloon, motorbike and even a zip wire off the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle. It will come to London on July 22 when it will take in over 25 boroughs and indulge in an overnight stay at the Tower of London. 8,000 people from across the UK will be carrying the torch on its epic journey. They are currently being selected by The London 2012 Organising Committee.
