The temporary closure for refurbishment of the Odeon cinema at Whiteley’s Shopping Centre in Bayswater has created a gap for the Lexi’s popular Nomad pop-up screen to slot in as a temporary replacement for west London’s film fans. Programmes run from Monday 14 November (to December 21) and include ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’, ‘The Big Lebowski’, ‘ET’, ‘Bridesmaids’ (above), ‘Senna’ and ‘The Tree of Life’. Screenings take place in the old Books Etc space and pays tribute to the shop with wordplay and speech bubble decorations. There is also pop-up vodka bar to whet your whistle and you can even watch the film from a ball pit. Worth a visit for that alone. Tickets cost £8 (£4 for kids) but you can get in for free if you spend a tenner or more at one of several restaurants in the centre.
