Inclusive London: helping disabled communities via the AppStore

Posted at 8:30 am, January 8, 2012 in Technology

Inclusive London appOur first London app of 2012 is Inclusive London, a great new download for the iPhone and iPad that allows people with a range of disabilities to search for hotels, bars, restaurants, healthcare facilities and toilets according to location and requirements. Need to find a London hotel with staff that can converse in sign-language? Then this is the app for you. It is also handy for parents – not disabled in the strictest sense of course, but certainly hampered when it comes to picking restaurants to cater for their brood. However, it’ll be the geocoded functions that prove invaluable to London’s mums and dads, pointing you to the nearest nappy changing facilities so you need never be caught short again. The app was put together ahead of this year’s Olympics in conjunction with the GLA website, and a full online version can be found at inclusivelondon.com.
