Calling all Young British Foodies…

Posted at 10:30 am, January 18, 2012 in Food & Drink

Fancy yourself as a YBF – a Young British Foodie? Are you prepared to have your work judged by a top expert in your field? If so, you might want to enter the Young British Foodies competition, with – apart from the kudos of winning the award – the chance of a £1,000 cash prize.

There are seven categories to enter, with an all-star cast of judges, as follows:

The Rising Star of Mixology, judged by Tony Conigliaro.

The Mobile Mover and Shaker, judged by Petra Barran of eat.st.

Best Food Experience Artist, judged by jelly artists Bompas and Parr.

New Best Alchemist of the Oven, judged by Lily Vanilli.

Charcuterie Personality, judged by Yianni Papoutsis of Meat Liquor.

Coffee King or Queen, with a triple espresso of judges in the form of Gwilym Davies, Tim Styles and Marco Arrigo.

Most Irreverent Young Chef, judged by Nuno Mendes (above).

Entry is free, and relatively simple; the closing date for entries is February 2012. Guy Dimond
