For those who didn’t make it to the latest pop-up installment from the incredible folks at Secret Cinema, prepare to be green with envy as we can now reveal everything you missed out on – just to make you feel even worse. 19,000 people came to the hidden location in Clerkenwell to be transported back to 1940’s post-war Vienna for the theatrical screening of ‘The Third Man’. Dressing up was (as always) encouraged and after a clue ridden journey through the back alleys of Barbican, attendees arrived at the ‘International Zone’ which cleverly recreated the British, French, Russian and American zones from the film. Revellers were then invited to explore the atmospheric building, which seemed to unfold as you ascended with a painstakingly recreated live jazz club, the Mozart Café, a Secret Restaurant, police headquarters, penicillin lab and a hotel. If you missed it, fear not. We hear that Secret Cinema will return in the Spring and we’ll bring you any updates when we get them. Sonya Barber
