Hot on the heels of the news that The People’s Supermarket has been saved from imminent closure, comes the announcement of their collaboration with The First To Know Gatherings today (Saturday March 31). For one afternoon only, the pair, will join forces to turn the underground room of the Conduit Street store into a pop-up café. With a host of DJ’s including former Boom Box darling DJ Jerry Bouthier and vinyl maestro Super Tough Tony, they’ll be celebrating the excellent work of The People’s Kitchen who champion using up food waste. The Curious Confectioners, who call themselves ‘a younger, sweeter version of Heston Blumenthal’ will also be on hand to provide a unique food installation with many more gastronomic delights in store. Whilst TFTK x TPS may sound like an obscure algebraic formula, it should be much more fun (unless you really like algebra). Head down to The Peoples Supermarket between 3-6pm tomorrow for your chance to enjoy this unique pop up café.
