Horrorgami is one of those events that does exactly what it says on the tin. Horror and origami are seamlessly (ok, maybe there are a few folds) combined in this exhibition of the work of Marc Hagan-Guirey (or Paper Dandy as he’s known to his fans). Marc creates ‘paper architecture’ using the Japanese art of kirigami to construct paper buildings from a single sheet of paper. If this weren’t impressive enough, his latest show, opening on November 1 at Gallery One and a Half, depicts beautifully crafted scenes from famous horror films, which is why it’s our pick of this week’s Hot List.
