Zim zimma, who got the keys to my illuminated flotilla?

Anyone passing by Canary Wharf’s Middle Dock may witness an eerie sight this week. In what’s proving to be a big month for floating things up the Thames, 300 illuminated paper boats are bringing a little colour to an otherwise gloomy time of year. As part of Canary Wharf’s annual Winter Lights installation, architect Claudio Benghi and lighting artist Gloria Ronchi have created Voyage, a flotilla of 300 glowing floating paper boats. Not a fan of purple? You can even change the colour of the boats by connecting your phone to Voyage’s wi-fi network. Jonno Hopkins
Voyage runs until February 14 2013.
