‘My name’s Maurice Joseph Micklewhite’ doesn’t quite have the same ring to it does it? We wonder if he had kept the name given to him 80 years ago if would he still be reaching new audiences in films such as Pixlar’s Cars 2 today? Probably. Michael Caine is one of our most loved and iconic Londoners. As well as two Oscars and a knighthood he’s also got the Freedom of Southward Borough Award! Serious accolades. Now to celebrate his 80th Birthday, the Museum of London paying tribute to great cockney by displaying his life so far with photographs, audio, film clips and screenings until July 14.
We’ve been reminiscing over some of his famous quotes but can you name the film he’s referring to in his tweets (if that really is him!)?
The 0lympics and Paralympics! They really blew the Bloodly Doors off. A great great Summer.
