Bow down to the Master & Servant

British food has been at the height of fashion for a while now, thanks largely to the influence of St John restaurant. The latest opening to feel the force is the oddly named Master & Servant, set up by ex-St John chefs. It’s in Shoreditch (of course), with an appealing bare brick interior, and a seasonal menu of good British produce that takes in the likes of devilled duck hearts; ox cheek with celeriac and horseradish; and rhubarb possett. Good enough! Even better is the news that downstairs is top-notch cocktail bar Happiness Forgets.
