Trafalgar Square’s tall order is a slam dunk with BoJo
Last week, it was announced that a free basketball festival will be taking place in Trafalgar Square and as if by chance – it is in no way down to chance – it’s just in time for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague finals taking place at The O2 on May 10 and 12. A 15 metre high, weather proof central court will be erected outside the National Gallery while the elite basketball competition goes on south of the river and all fans and non-fans are invited to take part. With 3 on 3 games of basketball, lessons from Europe’s best cheerleaders, the EFES Cheerleaders, and special appearances from the league’s players who will be on hand to give some tips to any budding ballers, there’ll be plenty to do and see. So if you want to give BoJo a run for his money, it’s time to limber up, get practising and come up with a slightly better victory dance. Carly-Ann Clements
