To celebrate the Museum of London Docklands 10th anniversary today, they asked artist Chris Naylor to make a model of some of London’s landmarks. Wondering why he chose to use sugar? The Museum is dedicated to the tales of trade, commerce and migration and the beautiful old warehouse where it is based used to store large shipments of sugar, rum and coffee. Think you could knock up a sweet London representation in five minutes? This model uses 2186 sugar cubes and weighs 13kg so is pretty hefty. Don’t know about you, but it makes us want to put the kettle on. Let’s all have a brew to toast 10 years of this excellent museum.
