A night with the mistress

Enter a world of flora and foliage where soft chirping fills the air. Little creatures – stuffed – peek out from behind dense bushes. You discover a love letter with your hand-written name on it. But before you can open it, someone calls for you. It’s the lady in the portraits that adorn the house of the garden. She is the mistress of King William IV, Dora Jordan. She gazes into your eyes and starts to sing softly. Immerse yourself in this unforgettable garden party experience  brought to you by the National Trust and The Art of Dining. Held over the third week of July in the Fenton House, this extravagant fantasy is being catered by Moro-trained chef Ellen Parr, with dishes such as flower salad with garlic snail dressing, barbecued rabbits and crispy frogs. Seize the rare opportunity to explore this charming National Trust property indulging a pinch of naughtiness. Tickets are limited, and the mistress awaits…
Tue 16 July – Sun 21 July, 7-11pm (Guests can arrive from 6pm to explore the grounds and house). Fenton House, Hampstead Grove. £55 per person includes a complimentary drink, five courses and entertainment. For tickets and more information visit theartofdining.co.uk.
