London weather is about as reliable as a stoned teenager, so while we’re overjoyed that the city is pimping its rooftops with ice buckets of beer and garden furniture, it’s good to have a lovely plan b that involves some sort of ceiling. Oxo2 (the second floor of the tower) have obliged, bringing the garden indoors for their pop-up venue, The Garden Gate. Lounge on a deck chair, snack on summer street food and sup vegetable-based cocktails, all from within the traditional protection of windows, walls, floors and ceilings. Bring a garden gnome with you and you’ll get a free drink. And should the sun decide to make an appearance, pop out into the Oxo Courtyard to visit the Remix Garden, an installation that’s been adapted from its original incarnation at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and which will have three makeovers before its residency comes to an end in October.
