With a notable absence of frozen peas and not a self-checkout in sight, Peckham’s newest ‘supermarket’ will transform ex-warehouse the Bussey Building into a creative hub of market stalls and live entertainment this Saturday August 24. Customers – sorry, visitors – can browse their way through over 40 stalls where designers, artists and chefs will be peddling their inspiring creations.
Avoid the Primark down the road and instead cultivate a unique style from the clothes and accessories on offer, including vintage and customised pieces from Grandma Swag (pictured below) and silk shirts from independent label A Drop of Honeydew.
If you don’t have any pennies to spend, check out the live music, art installations and talks hosted by Clever Boxer about how to succeed in the creative industries. If all else fails, the ever crowd-pleasing inclusion of ‘DRINK’ on the flyer should at least save your Saturday from turning into yet another trip to Sainsbury’s. Katie Forster
