Normally, eating in the theatre is seen as the height of slobbishness, but it’s being positively encouraged at the Royal Court’s ‘Gastronauts’, a ‘theatre adventure with food and music’ that plays at the pioneering theatre’s intimate upstairs space at the end of the year. There is, as yet, zero word on what the play’s actually about. But, er, who cares – there’s a tasting menu which you’ll be able to make ‘informed decisions’ on served throughout the performance. And the Royal Court does pretty nice food! But by the by, the show is being put together by a crack team of creatives, including April De Angelis (who scored a massive hit with the comedy ‘Jumpy’ in 2011) and Wils Wilson who directed the boozily brilliant ‘Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart’ this year.
