Too hot to handle: BURN Cabaret film night at the Hackney Attic

Posted at 6:15 pm, January 4, 2014 in Arts & Entertainment

If you’re looking for something to do this sunday evening to distract you from the impending Monday gloom, head to the Hackney Attic (on top of the Hackney Picturehouse) for the new monthly film night organised by cabaret aficionado Ben Walters.

BURN, a platform for moving images by cabaret artists, kicks off tomorrow (Jan 5)  with a collection of recent short films by underground London performers that went down a storm at the MIX NYC film festival in Brooklyn last November. The following weeks will feature other gems from the archives and little-seen docs about alt performers, as well as the new video and video-interactive live work. The most exciting way to end your weekend, guaranteed.

BURN: Moving Images by Cabaret Artists is at the Hackney Attic this Sunday January 5. To find out more and book tickets head to picturehouses.co.uk
