Artist uses neon sign to declare ‘I’m in love with the modern world’

In these grim, dark days of winter, we could all use a little more light in our lives. And then in swoops artist DJ Roberts, like an angel of positivity, illuminating the streets of Walthamstow with a little message to brighten your day. Hanging above the Street Gallery on Cleveland Park Avenue, ‘I’m in love with the modern world’ (a quote from punk poet Jonathan Richman) may not be a sentiment shared by grumblier Londoners, but then they can go and make their own ‘naff off, I’m knackered’ signs if they disagree that much. As it is, we’re perfectly happy to admit that we feel the same way. Eddy Frankel

Like neon? Check out neon artist Chris Bracey’s God’s Own Junkyard (weirdly also near Walthamstow!)
