If you’re strolling along the canal behind King’s Cross, you may well stumble upon a new addition to the landscape bobbing about by Camley Street Natural Park. The Finnish Institute have teamed up with The Architecture Foundation to design Viewpoint, a lovely flotilla that hopes to reconnect people with the wildlife of the park and the canal.
This peaceful wooden platform is modelled on Nordic rocky islets and it’s hoped that it’ll be a secluded spot to escape from the city’s craziness. Take a walk and seek out some solitude. Maybe when they’ve finished the work on that building behind, though – drilling could upset your inner calm.
