Sundays are the best day of the week, right? Secret Forum certainly agree and they’re celebrating the Sabbath in all its glory with a day jam-packed full of food, inspiration and current affairs.
They’ll be bringing the broadsheets to life with each section of the Sunday papers represented in their gigantic living room. A range of expert speakers and performers will be covering topics that include world news, business, sport, culture and style; with talks ranging from the silly to the serious.
Food will be available all day long so you can gorge on brunches, benedicts and lunches from The Breakfast Club, then wash it down with cocktails from the ‘There’s Something About (Bloody) Mary’ bar. You can also make reservations for the shared-plate banquets where roast chicken served with summer leaves and candy beets will be rustled up by guest chef, Tom Hunt.
Extreme relaxation is central to the whole event and bringing along slippers, blankets and even dogs is widely encouraged. Massages will be on offer throughout the day, so you can sink into an easy chair and not think about moving for a good five hours. If you manage to remove yourself from said chair and fancy some fresh air, Vestal Voyages will be operating tours along the canal, there’s guided walks, and yoga sessions are available. You’ll feel so chilled out, a looming Monday morning wont even cross your mind. Stephanie Hartman
Tickets cost £33 which only covers the talks and walks, with everything else at an additional cost. Find out more information here.
