The Art of Dining may be hosting their next event on Blandford Street, but this palatable pop-up should be anything but. The creators – Moro-trained chef Ellen Parr and set designer Alice Hodge – promise to change the colour and vibe of everything with each course, from the music to the mouth-watering grub. Starting tomorrow (August 20) The Colour Palate pop-up will be titillating tastebuds, as well as diners’ vision, hearing and sense of smell at Carousel in Baker Street. As the meal unfolds everything in the dining room will switch from one shade to the next, meanwhile the music will mould to the mood of each colour courtesy of radio DJ Gemma Cairney. The experience comes at a slightly pricey £50, but included in that you get five courses and a cocktail. Still need convincing? Here’s a sneak peak at a couple of the courses:
Green: Quail wrapped in vine leaf, wilted herb salad and freekeh (green wheat).
Yellow: Turmeric marinated bass, cumin chickpeas and saffron yogurt.
