Snack attack! London bus stops transformed into vending machines

Posted at 12:45 pm, September 2, 2014 in Food & Drink

Ever sat at a bus stop and thought to yourself ‘what I really need right now is a packet of steak fajita-flavour crisps’?

Well, congratulations edgy crisp fans, for two weeks only Walkers is making your dreams come true.

Three London bus stops (two on Oxford Street, one in Clapham) have been transformed into free crisp vending machines until September 10.

The bus stops feature a dashing video of Gary Lineker reading ‘War and Peace’ while sat on a crate of crisps. Visitors just need to tweet the code on the box to @Walkers_busstop to make a bag of ‘Sizzling Steak Fajita’, ‘Cheesy Beans on Toast’, ‘Pulled Pork’ or ‘Chip Shop Chicken Curry’ flavour snacks fall out of the bottom of the bus stop.

Beware though – the crisps are delivered to the stops at 11am and 5.30pm and if you wait too long after delivery time there will be NO CRISPS LEFT. (Time Out learnt this the hard way on a 3.30pm trip.)

Now, someone just needs to invent a tube station pizza vending machine and all our dreams have come true.
