In case you hadn’t noticed – the iPhone 6 went on sale today. So far, it’s been a calm and casual affair. A couple of fans popped into the near-empty stores earlier this morning, declared the new model ‘overpriced’ and decided to stick with iPhone 5. Other than that no news to report..
OF COURSE, WE’RE ONLY JOKING.
Crowds of tech-geeks have been swarming to Apple stores around the world, including the Covent Garden and Regent Street branches.

Around 1,000 people waited overnight DURING A THUNDERSTORM for the Covent Garden store to open at 8am. And – according to The Independent – there wasn’t a single woman in the queue. Meanwhile, The Telegraph reported that the iPhone 6 Plus had completely sold out at the Regent Street store by 9am.

And to those of you who queued and queued and didn’t get your hands on the phone of your dreams, just be grateful you aren’t ‘Jack’. The unlucky Australian was one of the very first people to buy the device, but immediately dropped it on the floor while trying to take it out of the box.
