Prepare yourselves for next week’s 48 hour tube strike

Posted at 1:30 pm, October 7, 2014 in News, Transport

UPDATE: This strike has been suspended as a result of progress in yesterday’s talks (October 8).

In case you haven’t heard the news, next week London Underground staff are striking again.

Yep we know, you’ve heard it all before, we all hate strike days and the four-hour bus-hopping commutes. But union members are sticking to their guns and holding a 48-hour strike as a continuation of the disagreements about job cuts, which began in February.

Here’s the deal: union members have been told not to work from 9pm on Tuesday October 14 until 8.59pm on Thursday October 16, so get your bus route planned and invest in a brolly.

Prepare for some extreme commuting and check out the best apps to help you get around London during the tube strike.
