A Vintage New Year’s Eve Party

Southbank Centre

Work your way towards the start of 2015 by time-travelling through various decades at this swish, stylishly retro party. The organisers are filling the Royal Festival Hall with entertainment and music from across the years, including classic northern soul, a tiki bar, a vintage beauty and hair salon and a space that celebrates the rave culture of the ’80s and ’90s. Dress glamourously.

New Year’s Prohibition with Meantime

Meantime Brewing Company

Pretend you’re boozing illicitly at this prohibition-themed bash, while you’re actually in a completely legal brewery (Meantime’s headquarters in Greenwich), meaning you can, in fact, get as sizzled as you want – but hey, drink responsibly, y’all. There’ll also be a casino, swing band, DJ and booze in tea cups, of course.

EastEnders New Year’s Eve 2014

Channel your inner Pat Butcher, Dot Cotton or Wellard at this brilliant, bonkers NYE party based around everyone’s favourite east London soap opera. There’ll be themed cocktails, tons of retro tunes that have been payed in the beloved Queen Vic over the years and – we’re willing to bet – a lot of inspired fancy dress. All together now: ‘RICKAAAAYYYY!’
