Catch the last of the festive fun happening in London today

You’re probably shattered by now, so cut yourself a break and base today around activities that involve sitting down. Start at Hackney Empire’s much loved panto Mother Goose(2.30pm, £10-£32 where you’ll see famed dame Clive Rowe do his thing in a top-notch production that mixes traditional panto values with cheeky satire.

Then head to Punjabi restaurant and London institution Tayyabs (83-89 Fieldgate Street) for delicious culinary respite after days of bland bird – its acclaimed mango lassi is a perfectly sweet treat.

Finish off your  Christmas  calendar of fun with some more lounging about and a festive film or two at the enjoyably raucous Prince Charles Cinema. It’s showing both ‘Scrooged’, (6.15pm, £7.50) and ‘It’s a Wonderful Life‘ (7.15pm, £11). Thanks, Christmas 2014, you were a blast!. Let’s do it again next year!
