Shoreditch restaurant BIRD, the free-range fried chicken joint, jas just launched a new breakfast menu with one particularly gluttonous glazed goodie that puts a British twist on Canadian pancakes. Salivating yet?

The concoction consists of crispy strips of bacon laid between a fluffy doughnut bun that’s drizzled with a maple syrup glaze. It may be a heart attack waiting to happen, but arteries be damned, we want a bite of The Doughnut Buttie! And then a long lie down…
