Who’s got a birthday they ‘need’ to go to on Saturday but don’t really want to venture out for? Well, now you’ve got a legit reason to click ‘not attending’.
The Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union is planning a strike for Saturday night, meaning there’s likely to be restricted tube service. The strike’s scheduled from 9.30pm on Saturday March 7 until 3.59am on Sunday. Don’t panic though, London Underground has released a statement saying that it still plans to run a good service on all lines. Plus, DLR, London Overground and National Rail services shouldn’t be affected.
Either way, if you hoped you could spend the night slumped on the sofa watching ‘The Voice’, you can probably get away with it now.
