Another day, another novelty food café. Cereal, porridge, eggs, crisps, gherkins, walnuts, oat cakes – okay, those last ones haven’t happened (yet) but you get the idea. Overkill is setting in. However, if there’s one thing we can always get behind, it’s an ooze-fest of melted cheese, and that’s what new toasted sandwich shop The Melt Room is promising in abundance. Opening in Soho in May, they will be grilling the b’cheesus out of bread, cheese and other tasty fillings for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus they’re opening at 7am every morning doing benedict and full English melts. The ultimate hangover cure? We think so. The 12-seater shop will be using organic sourdough bread from Wapping Bakery, free-range meat and their combos sound delicious. Oh and they’ll be pumping out ‘cheesy tunes’ on the stereo, of course. Hey Melt Room, we’re hungry, hurry up and open already, yeah?
The Melt Room will be at 26 Noel Street, W1F 8GY. Find out the latest new from @melt_room.
Until then, get your mouth around one of these tasty indulgent dishes.
