Whether you’re hankering after a hearty seasonal menu or would rather kick back and chow down in front of your favourite movie, we’ve got a foodie pop up to please you and your stomach this month.
For their first ever spring event, Forza Win are inviting Londoners to chow down on their famous chicken – and other seasonal treats with an Italian twist – during a delightful communal dining experience at their home in Peckham. A five-course feast will be cooked over a wood fire while you sit around their new ceiling-suspended table, getting to know your fellow diners over some natural wine. There’s rabbit terrine to start, spit-roasted 100 day chicken for the main event and a wholesome rhubarb and custard to make sure you’re well and truly stuffed. Every Thurs, Fri & Sat until May 9.
Feed Me Film presents Foodfellas, Haggerston
If you’ve ever experienced serious food envy while watching a movie, then brothers Nick and Alex Rainey’s Feed Me Films has just the night for you, especially if you’re a fan of ultimate mafia movie ‘Goodfellas’. Instead of seething with jealousy while Tommy and the guys tuck into dinner, you can follow suit. The glutinous screening of the 1990 classic includes a five course bespoke Italian menu, plus four stiff drinks. Just remember: ‘Always keep your mouth shut’… when you’re eating, we mean. TripSpace Projects, Haggerston. Book tickets at Eventbrite. April 11.
Edible Stories x Library’s theatre food, St Martin’s Lane
Also combining food and the ents is private members’ club LIBRARY, who’s partnering with Edible Stories for a four-week theatrical inspired pop-up. They’ll be breaking down ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, ‘Matilda’ and ‘The Phantom of The Opera’ into several delectable courses, so you can digest the West End’s biggest hits without having to stomach a single monologue. Well, maybe just a few, as Neil Gibson will be on hand to tell the story of the pop-up and collaboration. There’s even props to play with. As for the food – there’s a shape-shifting ‘Matilda’ cocktail that’ll make your mouth to tingle and the room the light up. Then gruel for ‘Les Mis’. No, we’re just kidding – the tribute to the French classic is mulled mint and sage topped with some infused buffalo trace and French rough vermouth. LIBRARY 112 St Martin’s Lane, London, WC2N 4BD. April 17 – May 15.
For their latest pop up, Disappearing Dining Club are bringing us a boozy night harking back to a bygone era of cocktail glamour. Partnering with Woodford Reserve, the menu for their Old Fashioned Supper Club is classic Americana teamed with more than your fair share of shots of craft bourbon. The four-course menu includes Woodford-glazed Kentucky-style short ribs *mouth waters.* And, of course – each course is accompanied with a classic cocktail. Dress to impress, folks. April 17-18.
